Listen to your cravings and visit Crave!
When we first walked into the green and cream Ventnorian ice cream parlour back in 2015, we knew we had found somewhere pretty special.
Perched on a milk churn, we sampled our first taste of the unique ice cream flavours offered at Crave; salted caramel, jaffa cake and Bakewell Tart (were they the first? It’s hard to remember, there has been a few since then!).
At Crave, you are seriously spoilt for choice. They even cater for vegans, dairy free and gluten free customers. The taste before you choose policy can sometimes help…. but can also cause a queue if the husband is in tow.
We were hooked. A trip to Ventnor is not complete without a visit to see Tracey and Chris, and we try not to let that happen! I don’t think we have failed yet. Myself and my daughter even hold the record for being the first ones through the door when they opened this summer. They opened at 9.30am, so I am not sure this is something to be proud of – but when you’re on holiday, it’s never too early for ice cream is it?
We survive the winter season (when the parlour shuts for a few months) by keeping up with Crave Adventures (the fact they sell their ice cream in take away tubs also helps).
Crave have just celebrated their 2nd birthday. My daughter made them a card, just to be sure to keep in their good books. She keeps asking how old she has to be to work at Crave… I’m not sure she even wants to be paid! (maybe in ice cream?!)
Here’s to many more birthdays and flavours……..
